I chose to visit Schlosshotel Kurfurstliches Amtshaus Dauner Burg because of its proximity to the Volcano Museum, which I wanted to explore. However, one of the standout features of this hotel was the free WiFi, which was a pleasant surprise. I also thoroughly enjoyed dining at the on-site restaurant.

We stayed in an old-style building with a castle-like feel and enjoyed the charming sun terrace with great views. Though most restaurants were booked out, we discovered some great ones close by. the breakfast was excellent, although the muesli wasn't always covered on the breakfast bar.

The bathroom lacked ventilation, which made it difficult to enjoy a shower.
